Half the AI tools on Instagram hide their link behind "comment X and I'll DM you". I kept saving those reels and never finding the tools again, so I built Orphic: share a reel to a Telegram bot, and it comes back as the actual tool with a link that's been checked.
A worker on my Mac downloads each reel, transcribes it with whisper.cpp, reads its frames, and a Claude Code agent identifies the tool and verifies the link. The results land in Postgres behind one Next.js app on Vercel: the Telegram bot, the web app, the REST API and the MCP servers.
The public side is built to be cheap and instant: one cached query feeds every public page, all of them are prerendered, and the open MCP server answers from memory with no paid calls.

What I did

  1. 01Reads every frame of a reel, plus the caption and voiceover, to find tools mentioned only on screen
  2. 02Solved 31 "comment for the link" reels without commenting or DMing anyone
  3. 03Open MCP server and search API with honest, complete results: nonsense returns nothing, typos still match
  4. 04Saved copies of Drive, Docs and Notion resources, browsable and downloadable
  5. 05Agent pages (llms.txt, per-category and per-tool Markdown) so any AI can find what it needs in one or two requests

(Inside)

01

Find any tool in your own words

The whole catalogue ships with the page, so search, filters and details run in the browser with no waiting. Every result has a checked official link, and credits the creator whose reel it came from.

02

Links that don't disappear

Free guides often live behind Google Drive or Notion links their owner can take down. Orphic keeps a copy and shows it like a drive: folders, players and downloads.

03

Ask from any AI

An open MCP server and a plain search API, no key or sign-up. Agents get a map of Markdown pages that says what each path costs, from one tool to the whole catalogue in one request.
